西州回鹘是9世纪中叶西迁回鹘的一支，以吐鲁番和北庭（今吉木萨尔县）为中心建立的封建政权，又称高昌回鹘、阿萨兰回鹘，与辽、宋都有频繁的交往，使用唐开元七年历法。西州回鹘的首领称阿斯兰汗狮子王或亦都护。这种回鹘钱币是回鹘西迁之后仿唐开元钱形制而用回鹘文字铸造的钱币。铸于唐末至宋，正面铭文：“神圣的策令让其通行”或“圣命准予通行”，按“亦都护”意为“神圣的陛下”或为“幸福之主”，背面光背。
Xizhou Huihu was a feudal realm set up by part of the Huihu people in their wesward migration in the middle of the 9th century.Also known as Gaochang Huihu or Aslan Huihu,it had Turpan and Beiting(now Jimsar county) as its center.Having frequent intercourses with the Liao and Song Dynasties,the government adopted the calender of the seventh year of KaiyuanPeriod of the Tang Dynasty.The chief of the Gaochang Huihu was Aslanhan lion king or Yiduhu.Huihu cash,made after the founding of the kingdom,had the type of the Kaiyuan cash made in the period as the modle,inscribed in Huihu words |
